ISIB Hosts Saudi Sector Representatives in Saudi Arabia Sectoral Buyers Mission Program

The Turkish HVAC-R Exporters Association (ISIB), the unifying force of the Turkish HVAC-R sector, organized a Sectoral Buyers Mission program in Jeddah and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The first part of the program was held on May 6, 2024, at the Sheraton Hotel in Jeddah. In total, 49 Saudi companies attended the bilateral business meetings held. On, May 8, Wednesday, the Sectoral Buyers Mission program was held at Crowne Plaza Palace Hotel in Riyadh. In the second phase of the delegation program, 57 Saudi companies attended meetings. 19 Turkish companies took part and established new business associations. While 220 business meetings were held in Jeddah, more than 290 business meetings were held in Riyadh.

As the representatives of ISIB, Mehmet Şanal, Chairman of the Board, and Osman Baştaş, Member of the Board, participated in the mission. Mustafa Ünal, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Jeddah; Oğuz Şahin, Commercial Attaché of the Republic of Türkiye in Jeddah; and representatives of the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce paid the companies visits during the meetings. Prof. Dr. Emrullah İşler, Ambassador to Riyadh of the Republic of Türkiye, and Burak Balkanlıoğlu, Commercial Counsellor of the Republic of Türkiye in Riyadh, met with the companies.

The Turkish companies participating in the Saudi Arabia Sectoral Buyers Mission expressed their satisfaction with the mission’s organization and stated that the bilateral business meetings were successful. Based on the contacts and business meetings, it was determined that the HVAC-R market in Saudi Arabia is rapidly developing for Turkish companies and larger than anticipated. According to Trade Map sources, Türkiye’s total exports to Saudi Arabia in 2023 were 2.62 billion dollars, with sector exports totaling 96.81 million dollars. Our share in the imports of the HVAC-R sector in Saudi Arabia is 1.37%. The Board of Directors of the Turkish HVAC-R Exporters Association decided to organize various activities and closely monitor this market, which has a high potential as a result of the consultations with participating companies.
