ISIB Promoted the Turkish HVAC-R Industry in Bangladesh

The Turkish HVAC-R Exporters Association (ISIB) successfully represented the Turkish HVAC-R industry on the international stage by participating with an info stand at the SAFE HVACR & COLD CHAIN 2025 Fair, held in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, from 15 to 17 May 2025.

The fair, now in its 10th edition, was inaugurated with the participation of high-level officials from the Bangladesh Ministry of Commerce. As one of the most significant sectoral events in the region, the exhibition brought together eight countries including China, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, Japan, South Korea, the Netherlands, India, and Malaysia. The event hosted approximately 9,000 visitors and 96 exhibiting companies.

The ISIB booth was visited by Mr. Bilal Belyurt, the Commercial Counsellor of the Republic of Türkiye in Dhaka. Mr. Belyurt shared valuable insights regarding the Bangladeshi market and developments in the sector. During the fair, representatives from industry associations such as ASHRAE Bangladesh Chapter and BRAMA also visited the ISIB stand, where they held discussions on potential cooperation opportunities.

Bangladesh, being one of the emerging markets in South Asia, is considered to offer promising opportunities for the Turkish HVAC-R industry in the coming years.

MURAT BAKANAY

Member of Board

Murat Bakanay was born in 1968 in Istanbul. He graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration. In 1996, he was entitled to hold an Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor License. After completing his military service, he started to work at Niba Soğutma Kuleleri A.Ş. which he is one of founding member. He still serves as the General Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board in the same company. He has been a member of the Board of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association of Turkey for a term. He is married with two children.
