We continue to contribute to Türkiye’s macro development through our commercial collaborations

As ISIB, we continue to assume an active role in national and international platforms in order to move the sector forward and increase its brand value. In this context, we organized Sectoral Trade Delegation events in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay in July. 19 companies from Türkiye participated in the events we organized in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay. We also held meetings with many companies in the events we organized.

Meetings were held with important organizations in Chile, Argentina, and Uruguay within the scope of cooperation
Our delegation was attended by 52 companies from Chile, 35 companies from Argentina and 26 companies from Uruguay. Within the scope of the Sectoral Trade Delegation Program, we first held bilateral business meetings in Chile. Ahmet İhsan Kızıltan, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Santiago, and Selda Nil Güner, Deputy Commercial Counselor of Santiago, delivered a presentation at the opening of the meetings. After the opening speech, they visited the Turkish companies participating in the event and received information about the companies and their products. Our delegation held business meetings with companies from Argentina on July 3. During the meetings, Sabih Can Kanadoğlu, Undersecretary of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Buenos Aires, visited our event and got information about the companies and their products. The third part of the delegation event was held in Uruguay on July 4th. Within the scope of the delegation, we met with important organizations in Chile and Argentina. In Chile, we held meetings with Klaus Peter Schmid Spilker, President of the Chilean Chamber of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. In Argentina, we held meetings with the Importers Association and the Chamber of Heating, Cooling, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. As a result of the contacts established with sectoral organizations in Chile and Argentina, we plan to carry out activities to develop cooperation in the future.

The potential in the South American market is of critical importance for the Turkish HVAC-R sector. Based on TradeMap data, Argentina’s HVAC-R sector imports in 2023 will be 3 billion dollars, while Türkiye’s share in Argentina’s imports ranks 17th with a total of 0.73 percent. As for Türkiye’s sector exports, Argentina ranks 17th. Our 2023 sector exports amounted to 23 thousand 460 dollars in total. While Argentina’s ranking in the sector imports of our country is 53, our 2023 imports are 4 thousand 632 dollars. Analyzing the table in Uruguay, we see that our country ranks 14th in Uruguay’s imports. Its import share is reflected as 0.98 percent. Türkiye’s ranking in Uruguay’s sector exports is 106 on a total basis. Likewise, when we analyze Chile, Türkiye’s import share in this country is 0.9 percent and ranks 22nd in terms of ranking. While Chile ranks 67th in Türkiye’s exports, we rank 16th in its exports. When we analyze this picture, we believe that we need to use the potential in the three countries more effectively. Therefore, we intend to harmonize the commercial relations between the three countries with new collaborations. Through these events, we have held important meetings and brought our member companies together with the most powerful sector representatives of the region. Our aim is to ensure that these contacts turn into strong strategic partnerships.
