ISIB’S Sectoral Trade Delegation Organization to Peru and Colombia

HVAC-R Exporters Association (ISIB) organized a Sectoral Trade Delegation with the participation of Turkish exporters to Peru and Colombia between 23-29 July. Osman Baştaş, Member of the Board of Directors, participated in the organization on behalf of ISIB.

A total of 20 companies from Turkey, 78 companies from Peru and 30 companies from Colombia participated in the bilateral meetings, while 351 business meetings were held in total.

Serra Kaleli, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Lima, visited the hotel where the organization was held in Peru, wished good luck to the Turkish companies and ISIB delegation, and met with the participating companies for dinner at the Embassy residence in the evening of the organization.
Bilateral meetings in both countries started with briefings by Leyla Uzun Kavşut, Commercial Counselor of the Republic of Turkey in Peru and Muhammet Hartavi, Commercial Counselor of the Republic of Turkey in Colombia.

Osman Baştaş, Board Member of ISIB, stated that the sectoral trade delegation organizations held in Peru and Colombia were fruitful and added: “As the Turkish HVAC&R sector, we consider the South American countries of Peru and Colombia as markets where we need to expand and then develop. In 2022, the total HVAC-R sector imports of both countries reached $3 billion. In order to increase the share of our sector from this size, we organized commercial delegations separately for both countries. We have observed that our companies participating in our organization have made several connections that will turn into exports in these meetings. With our marketing, communication, and training activities, we think that the relations between countries and sectors will increase further, and we will increase our export targets even more.”
