ISIB organized a National Participation Organization in Egypt

HVAC-R Exporters Association (ISIB) organized a National Participation organization for its exporters at the EGYPT HVAC-R EXPO exhibition which was held in Cairo, capital of Egypt, on May 23-25.

This important exhibition in which more than 200 companies participated and visited by different suppliers and professionals including engineers, contractors, architects, and plumbers was attended by ISIB Vice Chairmen of the Board Metin DURUK and Zeki POYRAZ on behalf of ISIB.

At the ISIB stand, exhibition participants were informed about the Turkish HVAC-R Sector products with a delegation consisting of 35 persons in total. 16 Turkish companies participated in the exhibition from Turkey. Some of our companies held their negotiations and meetings at the ISIB stand.

During the exhibition, ISIB Management and professionals held meetings on cooperation and sector development with the ASHRAE representatives from India, Pakistan, Egypt, and Jordan whom they hosted on the stand.

ISIB Vice Chairman of the Board Metin Duruk, stating that the EGYPT HVAC-R EXPO which is among the most important exhibitions in the region regarding heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, cooling, heat insulation, and energy on an international level, gathered thousands of professional visitors, industry buyers and decision-makers all around the world, said: “We completed the EGYPT HVAC-R EXPO exhibition at which we organized a national participation organization with a vision to build a bridge between the existing and potential customers in the Egypt and Middle East HVAC-R market and our exporters. We attended the exhibition with 16 companies. The companies with which we attended were very pleased with the exhibition. Turkish HVAC-R Sector is in the 4th place with a share of approximately 8 percent from the import to Egypt. Egyptian companies think highly of Turkish companies. Egyptian engineers, undertaking firms representatives, and sellers were very interested in our products. They consider Turkish products as a product range on the European level. They do not compare with the countries such as China and the like. Consumers in Egypt wish these high-level technological products to come from Turkey. There is a very serious investment attack in all sectors in Egypt. Furthermore, one of the biggest advantages of Turkey is that it has a free trade agreement with Egypt. We can send our products free of duty. Companies participating from Turkey expressed that they will attend the same exhibition which will be held next year. I think we will attend this exhibition with 25-30 companies. In the meantime, Ashrea Cairo Chapter was very interested in us during the exhibition. Farooq Mehboob who will be the next chairman of the Ashrea was also present. We came together with him and his teams. They showed great hospitality to us. As ISIB, we were pleased to host the companies of our sector at our stand and to host their negotiations during the exhibition.”
