Colombia Virtual Trade Delegation represented a successful end to 2020, according to Murat Bakanay, İSİB Board Member and Head of Virtual Trade Delegation to Colombia, who made the following remarks on the event: “Colombia is the third biggest economy in South America. Geographically, it has a very strategic position between North and South America. Therefore, it is one of the target markets for the HAVC&R sector. In recent years, physical trade delegation visits to this country had been a great success. That is why this year Colombia was one of the countries that we prioritized.

The virtual trade delegation to Colombia was a great success despite the restrictions caused by the pandemic and 8 hours difference between the two countries. The meetings were result oriented, and many contacts were established by the participating companies, which will be translated into exports in the future. The fact that we are a European country and that our products enjoy a well-deserved prestige for their quality increases our potential in Colombia. We aim to strengthen the ties between the two countries and the HVAC&R sectors after the pandemic, improve our potential, and increase our export targets. We will continue to support our member companies to make sure that the export potentials are realized.”
