Turkish Companies Attracted Great Interest at AIRVENT 2025 Fair

The AIRVENT 2025 Fair, held in Moscow from February 4-7, 2025, brought together participants from around the world in the HVAC-R sectors. The event, hosted at the Crocus Expo Fairground, featured over 120 international exhibitors from 14 different countries. Türkiye was represented through a national participation organization with 10 companies, while a total of 14 Turkish companies had the opportunity to showcase their products and services.

Growth of the Russian Market and Turkey’s Position

Russia is an important market in the HVAC sector. As of 2023, the total import volume of the sector reached $9.04 billion, with Turkey ranking as the second-largest supplier with exports worth $670 million.

Among the most imported products in Russia are heat exchangers, plumbing valves, pump components, centrifugal pumps, and mineral wool insulation materials. Turkey’s exports to Russia have shown steady growth in recent years, reaching a total value of $11 billion as of 2023.

These figures indicate that Turkish companies are strengthening their business potential in Russia, and participation in fairs like AIRVENT can further increase exports.

Key Visits and Fair Evaluations

On the third day of the fair, His Excellency Tanju BİLGİÇ, the Turkish Ambassador to Moscow, Trade Senior Counselor Çiğdem ŞAMİLOĞLU ERKOÇ and Trade Counselor Ömer KERMAN visited the Turkish companies’ booths, exchanging insights on the Russian market and financial transactions.

Additionally, the International Airvent Congress, organized by ABOK during the fair, hosted more than 50 presentations and attracted over 7,500 visitors. Simultaneously with the AIRVENT Fair, the Aquaflame Fair was also held, where 44 Turkish companies participated individually, drawing more than 30,000 visitors in total.

Conclusion and Future Expectations

The AIRVENT 2025 Fair provided an important platform for Turkish companies to strengthen their presence in the Russian market. Participating companies expressed satisfaction with the organization’s overall success and emphasized the significant opportunities in the Russian market.
With the dedicated efforts of Turkish companies and the support of İSİB, Turkey is expected to further increase its market share in Russia and achieve a stronger position in the HVAC sector in the coming years.

Murat Bakanay was born in 1968 in Istanbul. He graduated from Eskişehir Anadolu University, Faculty of Business Administration, Department of Business Administration. In 1996, he was entitled to hold an Independent Accountant and Financial Advisor License. After completing his military service, he started to work at Niba Soğutma Kuleleri A.Ş. which he is one of founding member. He still serves as the General Manager and Vice Chairman of the Board in the same company. He has been a member of the Board of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association of Turkey for a term. He is married with two children.
