ISIB’s Sectoral Trade Delegation Organization in Romania

HVAC-R Exporters Association ( ISIB) organized a Sectoral Trade Delegation organization in Romania between April 26-28 with the participation of Turkish exporters. Levent Aydın, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Zeki Özen, Member of the Board of Directors, participated in the organization on behalf of ISIB.

18 companies from Turkey and 39 companies from Romania participated in the bilateral meetings held on April 27 in Bucharest, the capital of Romania, and a total of 153 business meetings were held. On the evening of the same day, a dinner event was organized with the attendance of the delegation participants and Sude Gürcan and Naci Akdoğan, Trade Counsellors of the Republic of Turkey in Bucharest.

On Friday, April 28, the ISIB delegation held meetings on the Romanian market with Özgür Kıvanç Altan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey in Bucharest, and Sude Gürcan and Naci Akdoğan, Commercial Counsellors of the Republic of Turkey in Bucharest, at the Bucharest Embassy. On the same day, the delegation also had meetings with Ufuk Tandoğan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Turkish Businessmen Association, and Sever Raşıd, Deputy Secretary General.

Levent Aydın, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of ISIB, stated that the sectoral trade delegation organization held in Romania was quite productive and continued as follows: “Romania is the 30th country with the highest imports in the HVAC-R sector with approximately USD 5 billion in 2021. Romania is also the 8th country that Turkey exports the most in the HVAC-R sector. Romania’s geographical location and being in the EU Customs Union make the country one of the target markets for our sector. As a sector, we organized a trade delegation organization to increase our strength in the country and to further consolidate our exports. We observed that our companies participating in our organization made numerous contacts that will turn into exports in these meetings. We believe that with the marketing, communication, and training activities we have carried out, relations between countries and sectors will climb even higher and we will further increase our export targets.”
