Mr. Mehmet Şanal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Turkish HVAC&R Exporters’ Association (İSİB), underlined the stable increase in export volumes despite the pandemic. Mr. Şanal made the following remarks:
“We are working hard to achieve our goal of exceeding the $5 billion threshold by the end of 2021. While the average unit price for Turkish exports is $1,1; the average unit price for exported Turkish HVAC&R products is $4,6. Our intention is to increase our added value and reach $5 of unit price for HVAC&R products. In the meantime, Turkish HVAC&R companies are undertaking very effective marketing and sales activities around the world. İSİB is making its best to help our member companies in the form of digital trade delegation visits, which contribute to the market variety of our companies. In the most recent trade delegation visit to the UK, Turkish companies completed a record number of business meetings and established new business contacts. This year we will organize virtual trade delegation visits to 18 countries. This will be a huge boost to our companies’ exports. With the diminishing impact of the pandemic, we are sure that we will even further increase our export targets.”
