HVAC-R Exporters Association (ISIB) brought company owners and managers from Russia and Belarus, who came to Turkey between May 30-June 2, 2023, together with business people in Turkey.
As part of the buyers mission program, 42 companies from Russia and Belarus and 85 companies from the Turkish HVAC-R sector participated in the organization held at Istanbul Lazzoni Hotel on 31 May.
More than 600 bilateral business meetings were held between Turkish and foreign companies in the Buyers Mission organization, launched by Mehmet Şanal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ISIB.
On the evening of May 31st, a dinner tour to the Bosporus was organized with the participation of participating local and foreign companies and the presidents of sectoral associations, and a consultation meeting was held with the presidents of the associations. Within the scope of the mission, foreign companies paid factory visits on June 1.
In his statement delivered within the scope of the buyers mission program, Mehmet Şanal, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ISIB, stated that Belarus and Russia are of strategic importance for the Turkish HVAC-R sector, and said, “We successfully completed the first Buyers Mission organization in Turkey this year. We selected the companies we brought from these two countries, which import a total of 350 million dollars annually from our sector, based on their size, trade volume, import, and export figures from international sources, and sector analysis. The companies of the Turkish sector established meetings and connections that will turn into the trade.”
Mr. Şanal stated that bringing foreign companies to Turkey within the scope of buyers mission organizations is important for the sector on a global scale and continued his remarks as follows: “We operate with a vision of global inclusiveness in order to express the power of the sector by acting together with all our stakeholders. As a sector, we have good unity and harmony with our assembly, associations, and all our dynamics. Following the establishment of ISIB, we have started to bring this harmony abroad. We have developed a culture of operating together abroad. We did not have such an experience before, everyone used to act individually. Yet, it is important for us to create the perception we are aiming for that visitors from 42 different companies come and holds bilateral business meetings with Turkish companies here. Before the ISK Sodex Exhibition to be held in Turkey in the last quarter of this year, we are also organizing a major Buyers Mission organization. Our goal here will be to increase commercial activity on behalf of our sector all over the world and to increase the reputation of our sector.”
